Three new doctors in our group

This last february has been a very productive month for EOMAR in academic terms. Three members of EOMAR presented and defended their doctoral thesis after a number of productive and tough work. Their titles and authors are the following:

Alejandro Marrero passes his undergraduate dissertation with honors

Alejando Marrero is the youngest member of EOMAR. Recently he presented his undergraduate dissertation and approved with honors, the highest qualification.

EOMAR has joined the iniciative, “Plastic Zero”.

EOMAR has joined the iniciative, “Plastic Zero”.

Between 19 and 23 May, 2015, EuroMAB2015 convened a meeting in Estonia about the European Biosphere Reserves.

At this meeting the iniciative, “Plastic Zero”, comprised of 13 universities and research centers, four governmental institutions, and the two Biosphere Reserves of Lanzarote and La Palma, presented its program.

EOMAR at FIMAR

Over the next weekend, EOMAR will participate in FIMAR, the International Fair of the Sea that will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

At our stand we summerize the research that we do at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the field of physiology of marine organisms. In addition, you will observe marine organisms through dissecting microscopes that we have set up in the stand and benefit from a free gift.
