We received an invitation to participate in a conference organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, (MAPAMA), where they were very interested in our results, already published, on pollution by microplastics in waters of the Canary Islands. As final conclusions, the need to take care of the ecosystems and bet on biological and biodegradable materials was highlighted, in order to mitigate the pollution of the oceans.
