IMPLAMAC 1er Meeting

During the 27th and 28th of November, in La Laguna (Tenerife island), the first meeting of partners and the official presentation of the IMPLAMAC (MAC2/1.1a/265) project took place. Jellyfish Blooms Symposium

This week, the 6th International Jellyfish Blooms Symposium was held in Cape Town (South Africa) from the 4th to the 6th of November. Collegues of our team presente there their works about metabolism and microplastic pollution in Pelagia noctiluca and Aurelia aurita organisms.

Macaronight 2019

Last friday of every September takes place the "European Researchers Night". This year, it becomes in the MacaroNight: "the first project to bring together the Macaronesian archipelago in one single night" ( EOMAR team participated in this event celebrated this year on the 27th of September, with the activity named "Learning about marine flora and fauna. Measuring respiration and photosynthesis underwater". With this activity, EOMAR group wants to contribute to divulge scientific culture.

Dr. Ted Packard wins Oceans Award

On June 8, coinciding with Oceans Day, Dr Ted Packard was awarded the Oceans Award by the Atlantic Society of Oceanographers (SAO, career in science as an oceanographer, as well as his scientific and human quality, is thus recognized. May Gómez preceived the award in his name while he appreciated it
